MICHAEL MALKIN

Nov. 14, 1908 – Sep. 4, 1990

This is my Grandfather Michael “Mickey” Malkin. He was the first person in the family to earn a college degree, graduating from Upsala College in New Jersey in 1931.

He was first team quarterback on the Newark New Jersey All-City team of 1927. He made the All State team as well. Because he was only 5’4” and so talented the newspapers referred to him as “Mickey Malkin the Mighty Mite.”

He married my Grandmother Lillian Rosen on April 5, 1935. They had three children. Sue (my mother), Steve, and Abby
