While you are waiting I’ll tell you a story.  We were driving through Muscadine Alabama looking for this tombstone when a pickup truck with two large men pulled up next to us.   The men were very friendly and they asked if they could help us.  I took my finger off the trigger of my .38 and explained were looking for the grave of William Riley Brown.

“Them Brown boys are buried in Methodist campground cemetery” he explained.

He asked if I knew Bennie Brown.  In fact I did know of Col. Bennie Brown from my relationship with VA Brown.  He called him on his cell phone and 20 minutes later cousin Bennie and I were having a conversation together at the Methodist Campground church.

He is descended from WRB’s son John William and is very knowledgeable about our family’s history.
