The Andean Condor

This condor flew over our heads in the bird show.

In the wild it can fly at 18,000 feet and has a wingspan of over 10 feet.

After the show we went back stage and felt its soft white neck feathers.

In South America it is said that if you pet an Andean Condor you will have good luck forever.

While Teresa stroked the Condor, a feather fell off and landed on Teresa’s arm.

They let us keep the feather as a good luck charm.  I wonder where it went.
