The Cassowary

The Cassowary lived in New Guinea and Australia and is thought to be the deadliest bird in the world to humans.

They are descended from dinosaur raptors and have razor sharp talons.

They are very aggressive and frequently attack and occasionally kill humans.

But this one is tame… so they say.

We had to stand still with our hands out to show we were no threat.

We also did not tell Georgia about the deadly part beforehand. :)

Judging from the look on her face, I think she knew.

They attack in threes. One makes eye contact with you while the other two attack you from behind.
