ABRAHAM AND LAYA (DYSCHEL) BERLIN

This picture was taken about 1895

Abraham Berlin was born in Kamionki and lived at least some of his adult life in Skalat. His brother Isaac Berlin was Max Berlin's father. According to the Yizkor books, the Berlins were owners of the local seltzer factory and they also dealt in leather goods

Laya Dyschel (1839- April 27,1915) was born in nearby Zbaraz.  She was the daughter of Jossel Dyschel (~1799-May 10, 1869) and Sluva Pitzie (1807-1840).

Lea died in Polwolochysk in 1915.

Thanks to my new found cousin, Guy Berlin of France, I found that Abraham and Laya had 8 children.
